In the early 1990s there was an ill-fated attempt to adapt and localise Essex Terror for the American market. Alleged to have run for over 200 twice-weekly editions, neither me nor the original Essex Terror editor, David N. Guy (no relation) , had ever seen a single copy of this, despite being willing to pay upwards of ten pouns ($128) for any copies. The cover below, sent to us by long time reader and occasional original Essex Terror contributor Raz McUbbtree, is, at last, mild proof of its existence.
